Meet Claire, My Netballs Chief Umpire and Match Coordinator.

As match coordinator Claire will be the main point of contact on Monday evenings. As head umpire she will also organise all umpires to officiate matches.

Claire is an amazing player, person and umpire so is the perfect person to take on this role. She started playing netball at school at 12 years old. Then went on to play for the county at 17 then played for Saracens. After that she went on to play for Worcester Reds in national club leagues, regional league and then up to Premier League 2. Now, Claire plays for Carolians NC regional team.
It was around 15 years ago Claire started umpiring, completing and passing her C award about 5 years ago.
Claire's favourite thing about netball is being part of a team, the friendships made and, in her words, "obviously the competition (I’m pretty competitive!!)".
The umpires on a Monday will all be experienced, either holding a C award or working towards C award.
I'm looking forward to being part of MN and all it stands for. Promoting positive mental health is something I am passionate about and netball is a great way to improve our own mental health. We want to make it fun and fair. The games will be centrally timed which will ensure it all runs to time and only ask that teams are bibbed up and ready to go to help us with this!
